GOLDENEYE 007 - Nintendo DS
GoldenEye 007 – Nintendo DS Released Nov. 2010 Everyone remembers the genre-defining First-Person Shooter GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo 64, at least I hope they do. This game raised the bar for FPSs during that era, and none of the competing systems had a game that came close to this game. GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo DS is a “re-imagining” of that fantastic game. It is a half-decent “on-the-go” version of GoldenEye, with emphasis on the “half”. It is most certainly not “decent”. I played this game on the (original) 3DSXL, which only means I had the added comfort of an analog stick. This came in handy as I doubt I would have finished the game without it. But first things first. The story is generally the same as the N64 version, but the levels look different. The graphics aren't as smooth and polished as the original, but it is a FPS that does NOT require the damned stylus to get through it. Thank you, Nintendo, for that.
